Project Description
“The Graft” joins together the residential and industrial uses of the blocks surrounding the current site of North American Produce Sales in Strathcona to act as a transition between uses, while also responding to the housing affordability and climate crisis in Vancouver.
This project was designed in collaboration with Huda Akbar, Alex Mok, and Edwin Agyei, with mentorship from studio instructor Caner Oktem. My contributions included leading the design of the green roof on the east of the site, which includes a gathering space for apartment residents and outdoor play space.
